Operation

   When the thermosensitive sensor, set over the equipment to protect, it is invested by the heat of the fire,inside ithappens a short circuit that activates automatically a little pyrotechnic charge contained in the system ( similar to that one used for the activation of the |air|-|bag| but very less powerful and without external effects ), at that momentthe tank pressurizes and the powder is pushed by the nozzles distributed long the distributing pipe, toward the equipment to protect to a middle pressure of 20 bar.

The system is totally automatic but if necessary it may manually activated by thedeactivation ofthe protection of the button place on the box of wiring, and acting on the same by a light pressure, the automatism over described, is activated, or pressing directly on the head of the tank, after having extracted the break – pin.

The powder contained in the Pirò system is dielectric and non aggressive, so it consents beremoved after an intervention with simple compressed air, when used on electric apparatuses, or with a simple washing, whenuse on motor apparatuses
Differently from the ordinaryfire-fighting systems existing on the market, the tank containingthePirò extinguishingpowder istotally sealed and not under pressure.
This further innovation avoids, that the |extinguishing | powder solidifies by time as itoftenhappens for the common extinguishers, or, a more serious phenomenon, that is to say thedangerous losses of gas that make the use vain when the fire rises .
